Five-division
world champion Floyd Mayweather claims his fight with Amir Khan can
still happen and dismissed claims that Manny Pacquiao would provide the
British boxer with a sterner test. The
proposed fight between Khan and Mayweather is yet to materialise,
despite it being touted consistently by both camps, and the 37-year-old
American reiterated his desire to see it happen. 'He (Amir Khan) knows that the fight between us can still happen,' Mayweather said.
'He is an exciting young fighter - but I don't just fight anybody - they have to prove themselves. 'If you ask me will the fight happen - then I would say yes. I hope next year - but these fights are always about timing.'I
saw the comments where he thought Manny would give him a tougher fight
than me. I have no response to that. I will just remind him of those
comments after I have beaten him.'
The 37-year-old fighter with a 46-0 record sounds defeated trying to read a “drop” used in between radio segments on WWPR (105.1 FM).“I’m Floyd Mayweather,” he says before stumbling for minutes through the rest of the promo that’s supposed to last about 10 seconds. The phrase “movement to support hiring vets” proves particularly vexing.

The axed trio took to Twitter saying the Discovery Channel show had decided to take a "new direction."
"I guess you guys are finding out the news right about now. After a decade of the MythBusters, we are no longer with the show," Kari said in a series of tweets. "Thank you to all the fans who have supported us. The show is taking a new direction. It was an amazing run. I learned so much about myself and the world. I love you all @MythBusters. I am sad for an ending but there will be exciting new adventures for us."
When asked by FOX411 the reason the three would not be returning next season, a representative for the show failed to elaborate what new direction the show was planning.
"Kari, Tory and Grant have been an incredibly important part of 'MythBusters' for over a decade," a senior publicist with Discovery told FOX411 in an email. "From explosions to car crashes to even more explosions, this trio has helped shape 'MythBusters' into the Emmy-nominated series it is today. Everyone at Discovery wants to thank them for their tireless work busting almost 1000 myths, and we wish them all the best on their future endeavors."
There appears to be no hard feelings between the show and its former stars. Bellici wrote on Twitter, "It's been an amazing ride for 10 years! We couldn't have done it without you guys. You're the best fans anyone could wish for. Thank you."
The Queens-born rapper followed up that video with a second, saying Jimmy Kimmel pledged to broadcast Mayweather reading out loud on his talk show, and that the challenge would be easier than originally planned.
“We don’t want to put pressure on you. We know you can’t pronounce those words in that ‘Harry Potter’ book, so we’re going to let you read ‘Cat in the Hat,’” he said.
Mayweather grew up in Grand Rapids, Mich. His mother was on drugs and his father served time for drugs. He has said he dropped out of high school to pursue boxing.
“I knew that I was going to have to try to take care of my mom and I made the decision that school wasn't that important at the time and I was going to have to box to earn a living,” Mayweather told the Daily News in 2007.
Normally a profilic tweeter, Mayweather had been noticeable silent since the trash talk started, but he went for a knockout with a Twitter post early Saturday morning.
“Read this $72,276,000.00. God bless,” he tweeted along with a picture of two checks made out to Mayweather Promotions, LLC — each with eight figures.

"It's not only the end of this episode, it's not only the end of this season — it is also the end of an era," host Adam Savage announced.Co-host Jamie Hyneman added, "This season we're going back to our origins with just Adam and me."It's an abrupt change for fans, who've grown to love the Build Team over the past 10 years. And it's a gut-wrenching decision for the three cast members, who tweeted their reactions to the news:
